Hey guys, a bit of an announcement!
As many of you know "Sakana" recently became a featured comic over on MangaMagazine.net ! Turns out they're super nice and communicate really well and are very fun to work with! As part of an agreement with them, and in order to possibly bump it up to 'sponsored comic' some day, I'm going to start uploading all new strips to their website a few days ahead of uploading anywhere else.
WELL WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, MAD? Nothing, really! It's still free to read, will still upload on all regular sites (just a few days later), I still keep all the rights, and I can still post and talk and blog all about it just like I always have been! MangaMagazine will just become it's new hub, rather than Deviantart or Smackjeeves.
WELL THEN WHAT'S THE POINT, MAD? The point is, based upon the popularity of my series compared to other series on the site, I will receive monetary compensation! And still, this means absolutely nothing different will happen, other than me being paid a small amount every month for all the hard work and dedication I put into this comic! Which is spectacular, and I am very excited about it, and I feel like it's taking me one step closer to making a full-time living off of drawing comics! To me this is A PRETTY BIG DEAL.

Chapter illustrations and various updates!
HEY GUYS, I just uploaded some chapter title cards to make it clearer when one chapter ends and another begins. I also put the cover illustration for the 1st collected volume as the title page.

Smackjeeves Awards 2011!
HELLO EVERYONE! Otakon was a huge success and I sold out of all my books on the fist day! I'll be putting up an order form here in a few hours if anyone is interested in purchasing a book from the next batch!
In other news (that you've probably already heard since it's been a few days) Sakana was nominated for Best Comedy and Best B&W for the 2011 Smackjeeves awards! If you're enjoying the comic, I'd appreciate a vote~

It's finals time at the Savannah College of Art and Design, AND I HAVE SO MUCH TO DOOOOOOO.

Sakana SUNDAYS, and revamps!
If you haven't noticed yet, I uploaded some older 'aside' comics that I call SAKANA SUNDAYS, and are basically an excuse for me to have fun with the characters outside of the storyline. I also plan to upload a third short comic later tonight (once I finish inking it :V)
In other news, I'm revamping the storyline from here on out to make it more streamlined and to allow for more in-depth character development. This won't eliminate any of the cool stuff I had planned, it'll just move big events around to give them more room.

GUEST COMICS WEEK!!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates this last week! My boyfriend came to visit and he got most (all) of my attention.
BUT FEAR NOT! Even though I will spend most of this week traveling back to school, I will spare you another week without updates by starting SAKANA GUEST COMICS WEEK!! There will be a new guest comic uploaded every other day, starting Sunday (WHICH IS IN A FEW HOURS!)
Please take the time to visit the artists' individual pages and tell them how AWESOME they are for helping me out!
Coming to the end of the buffer!
Hey everybody! Thanks a bunch for reading this far, but unfortunately I've come to the end of my sizeable buffer and updates will have to be reduced to two times a week in the next week or two.
Once the buffer runs out, new strips will be uploaded on Tuesday, Thursday, and on rare occassions Saturday as well (Saturday uploads will usually be supplemental comics and doodles, unless I've been unusually productive that week :U)
For people who don't frequent my deviantart, what do you like about the comic so far and who is your favorite character? I'm interested to know! :D
ALSO: be on the lookout for new additions to the Characters page! There are a bunch of new characters showing up soon!
CHAPTER 1
By tomorrow night, all of chapter one should be uploaded. Is this too fast a pace for everybody? I'm sure I'm getting most of you from my Deviantart, but I'd like to catch a few new readers if I can!
I'll probably stick with my idea of uploading a lot at a time until chapter 3, when I'll slow it down to one a day. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL WORK.
